09. Have we ever gotten in a fight? Disagreements, yes.
10. Have you ever dreamt of me? If so, tell me about it. Can't say that I have, that I can recall.

I'll Do It...
01. When did we meet? For the very 1st time, at Regionals in NJ.
02. How did we meet? Lauren introduced us.
03. Have we ever met in person? Yep
04. Have we ever talked on the phone? No
05. Have you ever seen me cry? I don't think so. *trying to recall John's services*
06. Have you ever seen me dance? Not that I recall.
07. Describe me using three or less words. unforgetable
08. If you could spend a day with me, what would we do? Go out doing touristy stuff somewhere, have some good eats in new places, and wrap it up with chatter.
09. Have we ever gotten in a fight? Not to my knowledge.
10. Have you ever dreamt of me? If so, tell me about it. No, sorry.
11. If you could give me a present, what would it be? Given that I don't know you all too well, probably a card and gift certificate somewhere.
12. Would you hug me? If it were appropriate in time, place and whatnot...
13. Would you kiss me? Probably not, sorry.
14. What do you REALLY think of me? You seem ok, so long as Spreee is left out of the convo so when I do chat with you, which has only been a couple of times face to face, I don't mention him. Besides, there's a whole world of other things to talk about besides Spreee.
15. Do you trust me? Yeah.
16. Do you know something about me that no one else knows? No, should I? ;-P
17. Do you even know how old I am (without looking at my LJ profile! Don't cheat!)? Nope, but I'm guessing your older than me. ;-P
18. Anything you wanted to tell me but never got a chance to? It was nice chatting with you at those people's house in Mass. after John's funeral. I feel like I got to know you a tiny bit.

Re: I'll Do It...
I just don't take kindly to betrayal of those I love, especially by duplicitous people who value thier own power more than honesty and truth. For future reference, you also should never mention Ron Scott "Vivs" Laliberte, who's proof positive that Chapter DSKs can be bought with stolen money and phony empathy rather than hard work and service. There are plenty of other people I don't care for personally, and even have personal gripes with, but who are good brothers and have never done wrong by the fraternity. Contrary to the belief in Section 88, I can draw a line between personal and institutional affronts, and I never allow the two to mix. Of course, I've given up on thinking I can ever convince anybody in Section 88 of anything, since I was run out of the section on a rail by its section chair for once too often calling him on playing politics over doing what's best for the fraternity.

Re: I'll Do It...
duely noted. I have to admit, it drives me nuts too to see people get all sorts of recognition and whatnot and they didn't do anything to deserve it and then you have people who have really, REALLY worked their asses off and done nothing prove themselves to their chapter and what do they get? A swift kick in the ass! Pecker fuckers!

Re: I'll Do It...
I asked what Vivs had done to deserve a DSK. "Oh, he was there for me when I was having troubles, he bought me dinner." "I was really down, and he bought me coffee." "He bought such and such for the pledge class." No mention of chairing projects, doing any inordinate amounts of service, or any other such stuff. He bought the DSK.

Meanwhile, while he was living with me and buying all these things for pledges, there were no end of creditors calling the house looking for their money. He's an self-admitted kleptomaniac, and has been implicated in more than one dissappearance of funds and/or equipment from Epsilon Zeta and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Both my roommates who shared a house with him had money dissappear while we were living with him, and the dissappearances promptly stopped when the three of us moved out on our own. I have no doubt where the funds for consoling Alpha Delta Zeta brothers came from; I only wish that EZ had been asked for the money to make our fellow brothers feel better and that the credit had gone to the chapter as a whole, rather than one single expatriated brother who went through the pledging process at ADH just to insulate himself from having his brotherhood revoked by his original chapter.

I'll be the first to admit that I haven't done enough work to deserve a DSK. I could point out a dozen brothers who deserve DSKs more than I do. Neither do I want to be section chair: I like being the helping hand that does work quietly behind the scenes with nobody noticing. It just upsets me to see the principles that Alpha Phi Omega were founded on made a mockery of just because people are good schmoozers and know how to get people to like them enough that they're willing to buy the bill of goods they're selling. no matter how phony it is.

Re: I'll Do It...
Yup. Though, I'm not sure who that person is. Oh well, thanks for the heads up anyways.

Re: I'll Do It...
See? Don't get me started. And, really, I have better things to do with my time than rant and rave about scumbags who aren't me giving them the time of day. Regardless of what Fuzzy says, I have a life, thank you. It's just a life far away from Section 88 (where I'm officially not allowed to talk to active brothers) and the politics that pervade it. It still doesn't mean I forgive those who haven't even admitted wrongdoing, and it certainly doesn't mean I'll forget.

Re: I'll Do It...
No one ever forgets though forgiveness, that takes time and self work. It's not certificate that can be handed out. I know, I've been there.
