As of October 17, 2013 at 2337 Eastern Standard Time, I do publicly declare and give evidence that I do not understand how legal notices work, and that I foolishly believe something I post in a status on Facebook is in any way binding ON Facebook. By this statement, I believe, against any reality, that I am somehow preventing Facebook from using this and any other posts, past, present or future, even though I have expressly agreed to the terms of service of Facebook in which I granted them exactly that right. I foolishly believe that content that I post on a public social media site is somehow private and confidential information, in spite of the fact that I posted most of it for the entire world to see. The violation of privacy can be punished by law (UCC 1-308- 1 1 308-103 and the Rome Statute), a fact which is in no way relevant to this situation. NOTE: Facebook is now a public entity. All members who are similarly ill-informed as to the nature of the law and reality will want to post a note like this. If you do not publish a statement at least once it will be tactically allowing the use of your photos, as well as the information contained in the profile status updates. Of course, as you have already EXPLICITLY given such permission, "tactically" (by which I'm sure I meant "tacitly") allowing such is entirely immaterial. But really, why would you want to risk it, when you can make a fool of yourself, posting the same bogus crap all of your friends are posting which has absolutely zero legal enforceability? You have been warned!
